2013 is coming to an end soon. Now there’s a new software called Trust Jacker that’s just launched. So what’s the big deal with this, is it just yet another pie in the sky, or is this really something new, revolutionary, and worth having? Read on in this review to find out…
Now Trust Jacker is a fancy name for a WordPress plugin that claims to make your marketing easier. Upfront, you are told: “What if you could make money from the things that you already do everyday?”
What it basically does, is to allow you to select and post content from highly trusted sources on the internet, and to embed them into a frame. An advertisement is then placed right behind the page that your web visitor is currently reading, so they will see it as soon as they close that page. So in effect, your visitor arrives at that advertisement without directly clicking on that ad’s link. It’s viewed as much more trustworthy, since you were riding on the trustworthiness of the original source of content that was being shared to your visitor. So that’s basically the so called “TrustJacking” in a nutshell.
Now going further into the details, Trust Jacker basically allow you to post or share links to authority websites such as Facebook, Twitter, blogs, forums, or basically any other ‘trustworthy’ page that you like.
Once a visitor clicks that Trust Jacker link to your website, they will not notice anything different, but they will see a ‘popup’ or Iframe of a webpage of your choice as soon as they close the browser window that they were reading.
So you have a wide range of monetization choices here. You can choose from serving squeeze pages, affiliate offers, CPA offers, your own products, and so on.
So now, to make this clear, Trust Jacker is much more than just an ordinary popup or popunder.
Basically, it allows you to pop YOUR ad over OTHER content that is sourced from high-authority websites such as CNN, Wikipedia, WedMD, and so on. This gives the effect of the ad being served from that high-authority site as well, hence the whole concept of Trust Jacking here. 🙂
To summarize, Trust Jacker is indeed an interesting concept that modernizes advertising in a way using newer technology. As compared to the older popups and popunders that are no longer effective since most people turn their browser blockers on, this technique of Trust Jacking is indeed a way of building marketing into the things that we share online everyday, be it Facebook posts, links to news pages, and so on.

So all in, while this is certainly not a ‘miracle’ tool or the magical ‘push-button’ software that many people dream of but know never exists, Trust Jacker is a nifty and handy tool for any internet marketer to add to their arsenal. You essentially add yet another method for getting visitors to your offers. After all, that’s what basically marketing is all about, i.e. to get visitors to your offers. So Trust Jacker is designed to help you further in your marketing in this manner.
